Q: What is
Interspecies Law?

A:
Interspecies Law is usually (but not always) an unwritten and unspoken understanding between different species.
|
Q: What is/are the
law(s)?

A: Interspecies Legal
Agreements (ILAs) vary from species to species, location to location.
|
|
Q: Can you give
an example of Interspecies Law?
A: Don't interfere with squirrel affairs, or you will be interfered with
by the SIB. If a squirrel ever attacks you, it's because you did something
wrong in violation of a locally established ILA. Keep in mind that
ignorance of the conditions of an ILA is no excuse.
|
Q: Can you give
another example of Interspecies Law?
A: Squirrels and doves have an ILA to look out for each other by sounding
an alert if a potential predator is nearby. Failure to do so,
could result in swift penalties as
established by the ILA.
|
|
Q: What are the
penalties for violating ILAs?

A: They vary from ILA
to ILA, location to location. For instance, if a dove fails to warn
a squirrel about a predator and the squirrel is injured or killed, the
squirrels could choose to forego warning the doves until such time as a
dove suffers a similar fate as the squirrel victim. |
Q: Do all animals have ILAs with Humans?

A: Several attempts
have been made to negotiate with Humans, but most were met with tragic
results - usually with the non-Human becoming a "pet" or a "trophy" of the
Human.
